-Park beside the Little Current Information Centre

 

Bear Right on#6 (Meredith St) and immediately turn right onto Sims St. It becomes Water St., which allows the cyclist to enjoy a beautiful view of the North Channel. Looking back offers a great view of the Iconic Swing Bridge. We recommend you stock up on all your needs for the ride ahead of you. Follow #540 (Worthington St.) out of town. Spectacular vistas overlooking the North Channel into the La Cloche Mountains will greet you after climbing a few hills. A long flat stretch brings you to Honora Bay. Climbing the hill will be rewarded with an impressive view of the famous Cup & Saucer, part of the Niagara Escarpment. Leave #540 turning left onto Bidwell Rd. follow it and linger on the waters of L. Manitou at Green Bay. After a climb you will soon come to an intersection. Take Indian Mountain Rd. and follow it to Sheguiandah, zooming carefully down the awesome hills. Turn left onto #6 and right onto Limit St. a visit to the Museum will allow you to discover more about the ancient archeological site at Sheguiandah. The park offers a quality space to linger. Limit St. will lead you to lovely replica of an old Mill on the river with a wonderful option to rest with your feet in the water. Right across the road from there you can see the fish ladders. Cycle through the old village along Mill St. enter Townline Rd. for a short period and turn right onto #6. After climbing the hill you will soon have the opportunity to stop on the right at Strawberry Point Lookout, offering a wonderful sight of Strawberry Island, Georgian Bay, La Cloche Mountains and easterly toward Killarney. Continue on #6 back to Little Current.

(at Morphet Side Rd. you have the option to take this gravel Rd. on your left, turn right on McLean's Mountain Rd. to the lookout.
McLeans Mountain Rd. will bring you down to #540. Turn right and follow it back to Little Current)
