Hardtop, 74km, 5 hrs., road bike or hybrid
Park at the Harbour View Centre parking lot at the beach in Providence Bay Cycle north on Mutchmor Rd. and turn right onto Mira St. At the end of this street turn right, cross the Mindemoya R. (where the sweet water Salmon run) and cycle along the bay until you reach the Government Rd.
Follow the Government Rd. through gently rolling farmland, mixed with woodland, to Yonge St. Turn left and follow Yonge St. Into Mindemoya. Watch for ruffed grouse, wild turkeys, deer and ducks along the way. In Mindemoya you can find a bank, a library, a tea garden with Wi-Fi, motels, restaurants, a post office and much more. Turn left (west) onto King St. (#542), and at the first left hand corner, take Lakeshore Rd. to avoid highway traffic on #542. What awaits you is a wonderful mixture of quiet countryside, cedar groves and the clear blue-green waters of Lake Mindemoya. Arriving at #542, turn right.
Cycle along the lake and up the hill, then turn right again at Monument Rd. Follow this road north until it reaches the lake, a picnic area and beach. Just past here you will come to the Learmont Rd. Turn left and follow this road until it comes to a T with the Perivale Rd. At this junction turn right heading towards L.Kagawong.
When the road T’s again you turn left and follow the wonderful, winding Perivale Rd. right along the lake, past a boat launch and rest area. Ride on past many old farms until you reach #542. Turn left and ride south all the way into Spring Bay which has a small general store. At the intersection go south on Grimsthorpe Rd., then left onto the beautiful, windy Sand Rd. to #551 where you make a right hand turn that takes you back into Providence Bay.
